Handmade Portraiture for Unique People

Greetings! My name is El, and I’m a photographer located in Olympia, Washington. I specialize in portraits for creatives, craftspeople, entrepreneurs, and other professionals. I love collaborating with clients to build a unique look that captures each person’s individuality and creative spirit.

While I sometimes use a studio setting, my favorite way of working is to meet clients on-location in their own environment or in a location chosen collaboratively to compliment their style.

I’m equally comfortable with both contemporary digital photography and traditional film photography, including developing and printing in the darkroom. For clients who value physical materials, I’m happy to offer handmade black-and-white gelatin silver prints as part of my portrait packages.

I’m also a musician. My career in music has provided me with insights into the working lives and needs of artists, and I love photographing fellow musicians!
